Also known as Lakkom Falls, Munnar’s Lakkam Waterfalls are located at an elevation of 7,300 feet above sea level. What makes this waterfall unique is that it originates from a plateau rather than a hill, setting it apart from most other falls. Originating from the Eravikulam Plateau, the Lakkam Waterfalls cascade down and collect into a pool.
Nestled in a lush green environment, Lakkam Waterfalls are surrounded by a dense cluster of Vaga trees and boulders that require climbing to get up close to the falls. Apart from capturing stunning pictures, the falls are renowned for boulder hiking and even bathing in the pool.
To enhance the convenience of swimmers, separate changing rooms for men and women are available at the base of the Lakkam Waterfalls. Additionally, a toilet is also provided for your use.

Lakkam Falls is open to visitors every day of the week from 8 AM to 5 PM. The entry fee is a nominal amount of INR 20 per person, regardless of nationality. There is no additional charge for bringing your camera or video equipment along.

Best time to visit
